Serving up a winner

Cubs players, coaches and others have rallied to create a cookbook featuring some of their favorite recipes for sale later this year to benefit the Ryan and Jenny Dempster Family Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to raising awareness of 22q11.2 deletion (DiGeorge Syndrome, which their daugher, Riley, has. The goal is to reach out to families with children with the disorder and the charities that support them and to help them deal with the challenges they face.

Some of the Cubs, including Dempster, took part in a photo shoot Monday at Wrigley Field. The book will be available later this summer. Stay tuned for more details.
