2010 Comcast Sportsnet Sports Awards, Hilton Chicago — Ryan to be honored for his achievement on and off the field.
Comcast SportsNet and March of Dimes honored professional athletes from each Chicago team for their achievements on and off the field at the 2010 Comcast Sportsnet Sports Awards, Feb. 11, at the Hilton Chicago. Chicago Athletes honored this year included: Ryan Dempster, Chicago Cubs; Alex Brown, Chicago Bears; Jon Busch, Chicago Fire; A.J. Pierzynski, Chicago White Sox; John Salmons, Chicago Bulls; Jonathan Toews, Chicago Blackhawks; and Frank Thomas –Chicago White Sox–Lifetime Achievement Award.
Ryan also gave the “Mission Moment” speech — having the opportunity to share Riley’s story and create awareness about 22q11.2 deletion (DiGeorge Syndrome).
