CHICAGO – The Chicago Cubs today announced their regular season television broadcast schedule. All 162
games will be available in high-definition in the Chicago area for the fifth season in a row.
WGN will televise the Cubs’ April 5 season opener vs. the Washington Nationals from Wrigley Field at 1:20 p.m. and Comcast SportsNet will have its first broadcast the next game, Saturday, April 7 at 12:05 p.m. WCIU will televise its first game on Monday, April 9 when the Cubs host the Milwaukee Brewers at 7:05 p.m.
Chicago Cubs games have been televised by WGN since 1948 and by WCIU since 2000. This will be Comcast SportsNet’s eighth season televising the Cubs.
Len Kasper and Bob Brenly return for their eighth season in the Cubs’ broadcast booth. The duo was recognized following the 2006 and 2008 seasons with a local Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement for Individual Excellence On Camera: Programming, Play-by-Play.
