Prather Exceeds Run for Riley Goal

Carrie Prather has been part of the nursing team for Riley Dempster for almost two years. Riley’s determination to overcome the obstacles of her disorder has encouraged Carrie in her training for a triathlon, which in turn has inspired her to raise funds for the Dempster Family Foundation. On Sunday May 1, 2011 in St. Petersburg, Fla. Carrie triumphantly completed the St. Anthony’s Triathlon which included a 1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run. Carrie set a goal of $1,000 to raise through the triathlon; and raised more than $1,300! Funds raised by Carrie will help create awareness for this little known, but common, disorder to help with early detection and treatment for children with 22q.
