Jenny, Brady and Riley Dempster put on their walking shoes for the Slow and Steady – a walk for 22q fundraiser
A little rain didn’t stop the Dempster family and over 230 other walkers from putting on their walking shoes for the 2nd annual Slow and Steady — a walk for 22q event on Saturday, August 21, 2010. The walk was held at the beautiful Lake Ellyn Park in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
Participants walked the 2.2 mile course through the scenic Glen Ellyn community to bring awareness and raise funds for 22q11.2 (DiGeorge Syndrome/VCFS). Proceeds from the event will benefit The Ryan and Jenny Dempster Family Foundation, Children’s Memorial Hospital and The 22q11 Awareness Foundation.
The Ryan and Jenny Dempster Family Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness of 22q11.2 deletion (DiGeorge Syndrome/VCFS) and families of children with this disorder — and the charities that support them — helping them deal with the challenges they face every day.
