Carrie’s Run for Riley
I have been part of the nursing team for Riley Dempster for almost two years. Riley’s determination to over come the obstacles of her disorder has encouraged me in my own training for a triathlon. I have been inspired by Riley to raise funds for the Dempster Family Foundation. I hope to complete the St. Anthony’s Triathlon which includes a 1.5K swim, 40K bike, 10K run on Sunday May 1, 2011 in St. Petersburg, Fla. Funds raised will help create awareness for this little known, but common disorder, to help with early detection and treatment for children with 22q. The Dempster Family Foundation is dear to my heart. My goal is to raise $1,000 for the foundation, but I need your help. Please join me to help Strikeout 22q.
